Terma noted that the recorded data will now be subject to thorough evaluation by DALO’s and RDAF’s test teams leading up to a final certification as conclusive proof of the approval of the entire EW system.

In cooperation with helicopter manufacturer Agusta Westland, the final certification onto the EH-101 platform will be conducted.

According to Terma, the preliminary assessment of the flight test is positive, which applies to system performance, the entire process and the collaboration between the air force, AgustaWestland and Terma.

The final delivery of the EW equipment is expected to complete in 2014.

"The comprehensive system integration task includes the two Terma business areas aerostructures and defence and security."

In September 2012, Terma and DALO signed a contract to upgrade the Electronic Warfare (EW) suite on the air forces’ TTT Westland 101 Merlin helicopters (EH-101).

The comprehensive system integration task includes the two Terma business areas aerostructures and defence and security.

The delivery includes the Terma developed and manufactured electronic warfare management system ALQ-213, tactical threat displays, tactical data unit, and pods integrated with the advanced countermeasures dispenser system (ACMDS) and missile warning sensors.

RDAF includes a total of 14 EH-101 helicopters, of which eight are dedicated to search-and-rescue (SA) missions and six are to be used for tactical troop transport (TTT) tasks.
